This book is set in a rich neighborhood in California.
The main character is Jenna Fox. She lost her memories and only just woke up a year later. She missed her 17th birthday and doesn't remember anything. She slowly remembers her past and is getting to know herself. Her so-called mother Father and Nana are telling her about her life but she doesn't know if those memories are hers.
Her key challenge is to figure out who she is and what she has done in the past. This will be a challenge for her since some people may be feeding her false information.
