The adoration of Jenna Fox

This novel is set in USA California in a small rich neighborhood sometime in the future.  In the rich neighborhood it's pretty quiet and most of the houses are different and unique. After the big quake, most of the houses either got destroyed or when selling they wouldn't be much. You still had to have quite a bit of money to afford one. Which tells me that Jenna's Mother and Father would have to be in some sort of good-paying job. Since this is placed in the future Jenna's father owns a company that brings humans back to life. This company is called bio-gel. The bio-gel was something he invented to use on humans if they were young and about to die. Jenna his daughter was first to use it they are experimenting on her. Jenna only later finds out about this when she gets a deep cut on her hand.
